Program Days
Your day begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at around 8:00 AM, followed by a comfortable 1.5 to 2-hour drive to the mountain village of Imlil, located at 1740m in the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your local guide and begin your gentle trek toward the spiritual site of Sidi Chamharouch, located at approximately 2310m altitude. The trail winds through charming Berber villages, walnut groves, and mule paths, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. After about 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking, you’ll reach the shrine, a place visited by locals seeking spiritual healing and blessings. Take time to explore the area, learn about its cultural significance, and enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere. A traditional Berber lunch will be served along the way or at a scenic rest spot. After lunch and some rest, you’ll descend back to Imlil, then drive back to Marrakech, arriving by around 6:00 PM. The excursion includes transport, an experienced mountain guide, lunch, and bottled water.
